Guest Post Guidelines

I get many requests and emails from people who want to know if I accept guest posts on either Smarter Websites or one of  the Smarter Enterprises business building suite of websites.

Yes, I do accept guest posts, if they meet the guidelines. Here are those guide lines.

Currently I just publish one guest post per week though, usually on Wednesdays. Below you will find all the details about the process.

What kind of content do you accept?

Anything that helps professionals and business owners build their business.

It can be related to

  • lead generation
  • prospect qualification
  • getting new clients
  • blogging
  • internet marketing
  • SEO stuff
  • social media stuff
  • staff selection
  • systemising business
  • useful software applications

and it can also be derived from your own personal experiences.If it will make a difference for business owners we will look at it.

There is no minimum length for your post, but usually the guest posts have between 300 to 1,000 words. Oh, and not boring. Having an image is a pre-requisite too. Preferably between 200 to 300 pixels and close to square is beneficial to how it displays.

Guidelines

  • Your post must be original and your content
  • You agree to not publish the post anywhere else apart from your own website or blog.
  • You can include up to two links in the byline, which will be displayed at the bottom of the post
  • You can’t use SEO’d anchor text for your links

How do I submit my guest post?

If you have a post that meets the guidelines above, you can send it to me on the email through the Contact Peter Butler page.

Usually within 48 hours I will reply stating if we will accept the guest post or not. If I reject your post, you are obviously free to use it in your own blog or to propose it as a guest post to some other website.
